Game DescriptionETERNAL RING for the PlayStation 2 continues the tradition of previous RPGs by From Software. The game takes place from a first-person perspective that follows the character of Cain Morgan. Cain’s story begins when he finds a ring that gives him powers strong enough to ward off a dragon. Cain’s journey is set in medieval 3D environments that render numerous types of locations like palaces and ancient towns.
The battle system involves collecting and combining elemental rings to gain use of magical spells. Using these spells, as well as swords, Cain can attack the many enemies that he comes across. Battles take place in real-time, meaning you can attack the enemy as they attack you, unlike the turn-based fighting of the FINAL FANTASY series. Since there are a limited number of RPGs currently available for the PlayStation 2, ETERNAL RING is a welcome change and a great effort by From Software.

Cain must overcome many perilous situations through the use of various magical powers. He must also uncover the hidden past, as well as what is about to happen on this mysterious island.
What are the secrets of the dragons that supposedly exist on this island?
What happened in the sudden disappearance of the messengers from the mainland?
What is the secret of Cain's birth?
Only when all these secrets are uncovered will the truth behind the Eternal Ring be revealed. It is your quest to discover and unleash the ultimate magical powers.
