Dr. Neo Cortex has a plan to take over the world, and he wants to create genetically engineered animals to do his bidding. In the tradition of great 3-D action jumping games, Crash Bandicoot is probably the PlayStation equivalent of the groundbreaking Nintendo 64 title Super Mario 64. Now repackaged as one of PlayStation's Greatest Hits, this top-selling game takes you away on a tropical island adventure that is filled with precarious enemies and challenging levels. Our spiky-haired hero Crash needs no weapons to survive the harsh jungle. Instead, he jumps, jogs, and spins his way through numerous lush and downright fun environments.
With 26 levels spanned across three tropical islands, Crash Bandicoot is sure to amuse old gamers as well as new. Crash must rescue his girlfriend, Tawna, from the evil clutches of Dr. Cortex. Along the way, he can gather fruit for extra lives, smash boxes for random prizes, and gather tokens that can be used for bonus rounds. Numerous big bosses block your path, which also includes more than a few risky jumps that require split-second timing. Game Description:
After his defeat, Dr. Neo Cortex discovers the crystals that keep the world in balance. However, something is wrong: some of the crystals are missing. Extra Lives:
In the second warp room in front of the level "Bear It", jump on the cute little polar bear 10 times and he will give you 10 extra lives!
Boss Warp:
To go to the next or previous boss, press and hold L1, L2, R1, R2, and Triangle when standing on the middle platform of a warp room.
Gem Hints:
On the Bee-Havin level 20 about 2/3 through the level there is a stack of Nitro's. Climb up them and you will be able to get the Purple gem.
These are for the colored gems.
Turtle Woods: You have to get no boxes (Blue Gem)
Snow Go: Get the warp for Snow Go and at the end of it is the Red Gem
The Eel Deal: Go past the Nitro Boxes at the Dead End and go through the wall. (Green Gem)
Plant Food: Get no boxes and beat the timer
Hidden Warps:
1. Beardown: the small ice floe at the end of the stage
2. Aircrash: the second river, don't jet ski, but jump on the boxes to the platform
3. Unbearable: when the cub bucks you off, go back until you see him again.
4. Hangin' out: when you drop down a hole into some eel-less water go into the foreground and drop down a hole. use R1 to make crash pull up his legs.
5. Diggin' it : near the end there is a spitter plant on a circular platform. Belly flop onto it.

After defeating Dr. Neo Cortex, Crash and his sister, Coco, take a well-deserved vacation. However, their friend, Aku Aku, has a bad feeling, and as usual, he is right. Crash Bandicoot, the poster marsupial for PlayStation, is back. In this third installment of the popular action-game series, Dr. N. Trophy has built a time machine to collect the gems and crystals dropped by Dr. Neo Cortex. Joining this dastardly group is Dr. Cortex's boss Uka Uka, a freaky floating mask that is out to crush Crash. It is up to Crash and his sister, Coco, to conquer this threatening threesome and grab the goodies.
Warped offers 25 levels of challenging solo action. If you have a dual shock controller, this game takes full advantage of its vibration feature, which is especially fun when a dinosaur is chasing Crash. The music is appropriate to the action and the controls are easy to use. But it's the graphics that make this a stand-alone title. A team of artists worked on this game to design seamless movement that is more like an interactive cartoon than a game.
Novice gamers will enjoy this title for its ease of movement and challenging gameplay. Hardcore gamers will appreciate its hidden secrets and shortcuts. And how can you go wrong with Arabian cities, underwater worlds, medieval times, menacing frogs, pirate-head cannonballs, and creepy scorpions? Turbo start on motorcycle level:
When the second red light light up on any of the motorcycle levels. Press and hold X and you should do a wheelie. This will start you off faster and help alot.
Spyro the Dragon demo:
At the title screen press: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Square to get the demo.
Apples from monkeys:
To Get Apples from monkeys, when playing an egyptian level with rock-throwing monkeys on it, First destroy the jars they hide inside, then jump on them several times to get the apples.
Two dinosaurs:
To get two dinosaurs in the dyno mite level ride the dinosaur until you come to the part with the two nitros. Jump off the dinosaur and run back to the patch of grass. Then run back to where you left your dinosaur. You will also see another dinosaur further up.
4 Hidden boxes:
At the very begining of level 16 walk back to get four boxes. This is very important for box completion in that level.
Hidden warp room levels 26-30:
To get to the hidden warp room levels 26-30 you have to get at least 5 relics then go to the center of the room where you save then in the center of the room is a platform, hop on it. It will take you to the hidden warp room. In this new warp room only level 26 will be open. To get into level 27 you will need ten relics. To get into level 28 you will need fifteen relics. To get into level 29 you will need twenty relics. To get into level 30 you will need twenty-five relics.This new warp room will help you get 100% completion.
Instant Uka-Uka:
On any level, press X, square, triangle, and circle. (Note: this may only be done once per life).
Purple Gem:
Go into High Time (warproom 3) and about two-thirds of the way through there is a little platform at the base of a wall. Jump on the platform and it will take you to a secret level where you will get the purple gem.
